My Story

My name is Harmanie Rose and I am a disabled dance artist, facilitator and choreographer living in Vancouver, BC Canada.

Harmanie Rose: Disability-Led Arts and Movement (DLAAM) was created as a result of years of training and exploration in inclusive dance, to engage communities in accessible art practices and provide opportunities to collaborate with individuals around the world in joyful movement and expression.

If you have a heartbeat, you can dance.

My role as a facilitator is not to mold you as a dancer into a preconceived shape, but to act as a guide as you discover what movement means to you.

A dancer with long hair in a braid, wearing a green sleeveless top, floral skirt, and black gloves, is sitting in a wheelchair with her arms raised and eyes closed in a wooded park, with people sitting on the grass in the background.
